What do I offer?

I see individuals for short-term (6 to 8 sessions) and long term counselling.

I work with how people feel now and relationships from the past, particularly childhood experiences which may be impacting upon feelings and actions in the present. I work with you to explore feelings, thoughts, and possible changes that you might like to make.

How can counselling help?

My aim is that you will feel comfortable, trusting and supported. The relationship that develops between us plays an important part in resolving difficult feelings from the past and/or the present. Change can be difficult but counselling can lead to increased self-confidence and self-insight. Telling and understanding our story can help with accepting who we are and moving forward and so fulfilling our potential through more constructive ways of living.

The first session is an opportunity to explore what you would like from counselling and some changes that you might like to make and to decide if you would like to work with me.
